1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to AI Researcher. By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our service.

AI Researcher is a multi-model AI chat application that allows you to interact with multiple AI providers simultaneously. These Terms govern your use of our platform, including all features, content, and services.

2. Description of Service

AI Researcher provides access to multiple AI language models from various providers including OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, and others. Our service enables you to:

• Chat with multiple AI models simultaneously
• Compare responses from different AI providers
• Upload and analyze documents and images
• Save and manage chat history
• Customize AI model preferences

3. User Accounts

To use AI Researcher, you must create an account using a valid email address or through Google authentication. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Providing accurate and complete information
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use AI Researcher in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You shall not:

• Use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to bypass rate limits or security measures
• Upload malicious content, malware, or harmful files
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Generate content that violates third-party rights
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
• Use automated systems to access the service without permission
• Resell or redistribute AI responses commercially

4.1 AI Content Safety Policy

AI Researcher enforces strict content safety standards across all AI interactions. The following uses are explicitly prohibited:

• NSFW & explicit content: Generating sexually explicit, pornographic, or adult content of any kind
• Deepfakes & impersonation: Creating content that impersonates real individuals or generates deceptive media (deepfakes)
• Violence & hate speech: Generating content that promotes violence, hatred, discrimination, or terrorism
• Illegal activities: Using AI to facilitate fraud, hacking, surveillance, or any unlawful activities
• Harmful content: Generating content designed to deceive, exploit, or cause harm to individuals or groups

All AI requests are subject to automated content safety filters. Violations may result in immediate account suspension without refund.

5. Billing & Subscription Terms

AI Researcher offers the following subscription plans:

• Free Plan: Limited daily messages with access to standard AI models. No payment required.
• Starter Plan ($4.99/month): Credit-based usage with 2,500 monthly credits, access to all standard and premium AI models, file attachments (up to 2MB), Smart Chat, and side-by-side comparison.
• Pro Plan ($9.99/month): Credit-based usage with 10,000 monthly credits, all Starter features plus AI image generation, web search, voice dictation, prompt enhancement, file attachments (up to 5MB), and top-up credits.
• Elite Plan ($19.99/month): Credit-based usage with 25,000 monthly credits, all Pro features plus enhanced file attachments (up to 10MB) and 5 GB cloud storage.

Prices are listed in USD for global users and may be displayed in INR for users in India. All prices are subject to change with prior notice. Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled before the renewal date.

6. Payment Processor

All payments on AI Researcher are processed through DodoPayments, our third-party payment processor. By making a purchase, you agree to DodoPayments' terms of service and privacy policy. AI Researcher does not directly store or process your payment card details — all sensitive payment information is handled securely by DodoPayments.

7. Credit System

Paid plans (Starter, Pro, and Elite) operate on a credit-based system. The following terms apply to credits:

• Monthly subscription credits reset at the start of each billing cycle and do not roll over to the next cycle.
• Credit consumption varies by AI model, feature, and request complexity.
• One-time credit top-ups (5,000 / 10,000 / 20,000 credits) are available for purchase. Top-up credits do not expire and carry over between billing cycles.
• Top-up purchases are non-refundable once credits have been added to your account.
• We reserve the right to adjust credit pricing and consumption rates with reasonable advance notice.

8. AI-Generated Content

AI Researcher provides access to AI models that generate responses based on your inputs. Please understand that:

• AI responses may contain inaccuracies or errors
• You should verify important information independently
• AI-generated content should not replace professional advice
• Different AI models may provide different responses
• We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of AI responses

8.1 AI Image Generation

AI Researcher offers AI-powered image generation through third-party providers (OpenAI and Google). These features rely on the providers' built-in safety filters and content moderation systems. Image generation is intended for creative, educational, and productive purposes only and is not intended for creating deepfakes, NSFW content, impersonation of real individuals, or any harmful visual media. We reserve the right to disable image generation access for any user found violating these guidelines.

8.2 Third-Party AI Providers

All AI responses (text and images) are generated by third-party AI providers accessed through OpenRouter, a unified API gateway. AI Researcher does not train, fine-tune, or host any AI models. Your interactions are processed by the respective AI provider (OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, xAI, Meta, DeepSeek, Moonshot, Qwen, Mistral, Perplexity) according to their own terms of service and usage policies. AI Researcher applies additional content safety filters to all requests to help ensure compliance with our acceptable use standards.

9. Intellectual Property

The AI Researcher platform, including its design, features, and code, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any content you submit to the service.

By using our service, you grant us a limited license to process and store your content solely for the purpose of providing the service.

10. Rate Limits and Fair Use

To ensure service quality for all users, we implement rate limits on API requests. Excessive usage may result in temporary throttling or account suspension. We reserve the right to modify rate limits at any time.

11. Third-Party Services

AI Researcher integrates with third-party services. Your use of our platform is also subject to the terms and policies of these third parties:

• AI Providers: OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, xAI, Meta, and others (via OpenRouter) — for generating AI responses
• DodoPayments: Payment processing for subscriptions and top-ups
• Google Analytics: Website traffic and usage analytics
• Microsoft Clarity: Session replay and heatmap analytics to improve user experience
• Supabase: Database, authentication, and file storage
• Resend: Transactional email delivery

We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of these third-party services.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

AI Researcher is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AI Researcher and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.

14. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to AI Researcher at any time, with or without cause. Upon termination, your right to use the service will immediately cease. Remaining credits (including top-ups) are forfeited upon account termination for violations of these Terms.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice on the service. Your continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
